East Durham LEADER is an exciting initiative that will bring significant benefits for the residents of East Durham's rural communities over the coming years. It is a mechanism for delivering RDPE (Rural Development Programme for England) funding of around £1 million in East Durham through to 2013. RDPE strategic priorities in the North East region comprise:
