HALLMARK ACCREDITATION TRAINING
Background
The BOSS (Back Office Support Services) Project which is managed by TVRCC aims to investigate and address the need for 'back office services' amongst community groups in rural areas of the region. Hallmark Accreditation Training is one of several training packages that are now available to community groups across County Durham thanks to BOSS funding.
About the training
This training is avaliable to all members of village hall and rural community building management committees. Participants will be guided through a checklist to ensure that the community building is able to meet best practice. Once the checklist has been fully satisfied, a peer assessment will be made and a Hallmark Level 1 awarded. Please click here for general information about the Hallmark scheme.
What are the benefits?
Hallmark awards give the committee reassurance that they are doing things well. The award also informs potential hirers that the hall is well managed and is safe to use. Some insurers even offer discounts to halls with Hallmark Awards.
How to book
No courses are planned at present, however we may be able to arrange additional training sessions, subject to demand. Please e-mail Lesley.Millgate@durhamrcc.org.uk or telephone 01207 529621 for more information.
Further information
Please click here to return to the BOSS Project homepage, which includes details of current and forthcoming training workshops.
