THE BOSS PROJECT
Does the thought of spending time with the BOSS concern you? Worry not, this BOSS is here to help you take the fear, mystery and drudgery out of basic book-keeping and everyday financial management!
In September 2011, we delivered two training workshops on book-keeping and financial management at our offices in Lanchester, as part of the BOSS (Back Office Support Services) Project, supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
Please click on the links below for individual information about each of the workshops that we offered. It may be possible to arrange further courses subject to demand; if you are interested please e-mail Lesley.Millgate@durhamrcc.org.uk stating which courses you sre interested in attending.

The BOSS Project aims to investigate and address the need for 'back office services' amongst rural community groups in rural areas of the north-east. The initiative which has a budget of £388K spread over 5 years until 2014 will concentrate on supporting:
-
Organisations that employ people and could use a payroll service
-
Organisations that need help with information technology
-
Good Governance in all rural community organisations
-
Best practice in managing accounts and budgets
-
Compliance with regulations affecting community buildings
-
Quality assurance in the management of community buildings
