PARTNERSHIPS
Championing the interests of Durham's rural communities for over 75 years has earned DRCC widespread support and trust.
Local people respect its independence and impartiality, giving them the confidence to share their local issues and concerns. This knowledge is used to good effect, working behind the scenes to influence decisionmakers at local, regional, and national level to reflect rural concerns and needs.

As members of RuCANNE (Rural Community Action Network North East) DRCC works closely with counterparts in Northumberland and Tees Valley to promote the rural agenda at regional level.
Nationally, DRCC is a member of the Rural Community Action Network (RCAN), giving it a direct link into the Commission for Rural Communities, Defra and other parts of government through ACRE (Action for Communities in Rural England).
