EVENTS AND TRAINING
Each year we organise a range of events and training courses designed to:
-
Highlight issues of concern to rural communities across County Durham.
-
Provide help and training on both new and existing initiatives, policies and regulations.
-
Promote the wide range of advice and support offered by our dedicated and highly experienced team of staff.
Events are held in our own Conference Room at Park House, Lanchester, which can accommodate up to 30 delegates, and is available to hire at modest cost. We also make use of Community Buildings across County Durham, providing income for local groups, and helping to minimise journey time and travel costs for delegates. Wherever possible, we try to make use of locally sourced produce, benefiting local producers, and helping the environment through reduced transportation costs.
Our twice yearly meetings form the mainstay of our schedule, however we also organise many other events and training courses throughout the year. Please click on the links below to read about some of our most recent activities:
Community Buildings - 'The Big Debate'
Retirement is a job for a much younger person
Meet the Funder event for Town & Parish Councils
Village Halls Advisers Training Course
We are regularly organising new events and activities. Please click here to view the latest details on our What's On page, or telephone 01207 529621.
