Investors in People
Following a successful reassessment in 2010, Durham Rural Community Council was once again awarded Investors in People status.

The Acre Good Practice Quality Standards
Since 2006, Durham Rural Community Council has been working to demonstrate its organisational 'fitness for purpose', by implementing the ACRE (Action for Communities in Rural England) Good Practice Quality Standards.
These standards outline the criteria defining operational `good practice` in 9 key areas as they specifically relate to Rural Community Councils throughout England. Progress is measured against three levels of attainment – basic requirements, advanced requirements and ongoing achievement and development.
The process combines in-house self-assessment, with external validation to confirm that the standards are being met. This is provided through a peer review process involving trained assessors from within the whole RCC network.
Following previous success at Levels 1 and Level 2, DRCC was delighted to secure the highest Level 3 Accreditation in September 2010. ACRE's Quality Standard is endorsed by the Charity Commission. Click here for more information about our success.
